Get Involved

The extent to which an association functions is the extent to which the members commit to involvement. Denver Metro BOMA has something for all members to get involved.

Associate Member Committee
In this forum, Associate members interact with one another and share information about BOMA issues and activities.   All Associate company designated members are automatically part of this committee. Any BOMA member may attend.

Awards & Recognition Committee
Coordinates the Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) and Member of the Year competition and processes.

Editorial Task Force
Maintains BOMA’s relationship with local publications and promotes BOMA with regular advertising in such publications.  Produces special supplements, articles and advertising in trade publications. Creates, distributes and solicits advertising and articles for publications, as well as electronic marketing and the website

Community Affairs Committee
Coordinates BOMA’s involvement with community organizations. Plans, and coordinates community affairs events and activities.

Emergency Preparedness Committee
The Mission of this committee is to collaborate with industry leaders on best practices to improve overall emergency preparedness and increase building security as well as to build and strengthen relationships between membership and relevant federal, state, and local agencies.

Emerging Professionals Committee (open to commercial real estate professionals only)
This committee is limited to assistant property managers and those that work for property management companies.  Designed for real estate professionals with less than 7 years of experience in the industry. The group works closely with the Education and Professional Development Committee to plan and promote educational sessions that provide relevant training. In addition, the committee plans opportunities to meet and network with those in the commercial real estate industry.  

Professional Development Committee
Determines topics of interest for Membership Programs Also, plans workshops and seminars on issues affecting the industry. Plans, and conducts the professional designation (RPA, SMA, and FMA) programs.  Provides local networking and educational opportunities to the healthcare community.

Annual Golf Tournament Task Force
Plans, coordinates and promotes the annual BOMA Golf Tournament.

Government Affairs Committee
Reviews, plans, monitors, and recommends policy on local, state, national, and regulatory issues and legislation which impacts the commercial real estate industry. Also coordinates with BOMA’s lobbyists; review, monitor, promote, and/or testify in support of or in opposition to state or local legislation, amendments or regulations affecting the commercial real estate industry.

Membership Services Committee
Develops and follows-up on prospective members to recruit new BOMA members. Also educates BOMA members on the benefits of retaining BOMA membership. Studies and recommends policies and procedures relating to the building and maintenance of membership.

Allied Speed Networking Task Force
Plans, coordinates and promotes the Annual Allied Speed Networking event. This event takes the concept of speed dating and applies it to a networking event. The committee helps plan the logistics of this popular and well attended BOMA event.
