PART I: August 14th - People are the No. 1 resource in every organization and keeping misunderstandings to a minimum creates a more positive workplace environment. It is not just about what you say, but also how you say it. Understanding how to communicate a message effectively is key to creating a positive workplace culture. Understanding the unique communication styles of individuals and how to better prepare for conversations allows us to reduce drama in the workplace.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify personal communication style
- Explore communication styles and discuss their impact.
- Identify the different situations in which expectations need to be set.
- Demonstrate the ability to listen with intent and adapt to the expectations of others.

PART II: September 19th - Always have a Plan! In this brainstorming session, we will work together industry leaders to identify what we can do to start telling the story of the career opportunities in this industry we all love. Bring any ideas no matter how outside the box they may seem! BOMA has begun conversations with DU regarding courses around Property Management, but we need more outreach. We can solve this challenge better together than as separate organizations in their silos.
Join us after each session to spend some quality networking time with your peers. Beer and wine will be served with some light snacks.
