Allied Task Force
In this forum, Allied members interact with one another and share information about BOMA issues and activities. All Allied company designated members are automatically part of this committee. Any BOMA member may attend.
Awards & Recognition Committee
Coordinates the Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) and Member of the Year competition and processes.
Maintains BOMA’s relationship with local publications and promotes BOMA with regular advertising in such publications. Produces special supplements, articles and advertising in trade publications. Creates, distributes and solicits advertising and articles for BOMA's monthly newsletter, as well as electronic marketing and the website
Community Affairs Committee
Coordinates BOMA’s involvement with community organizations. Plans, and coordinates community affairs events and activities
Emerging Professionals Committee
This committee is available to assistant property managers and those that work in commercial real estate buildings. Designed for professionals with less than 7 years of experience in the industry. The group works closely with the Education and Professional Development Committee to plan and promote educational sessions that provide relevant training. In addition, the committee plans opportunities to meet and network.
Energy and Environment Task Force
Keeps BOMA and its members on the forefront of sustainability, advocates for reasonable solutions and educates members on green and sustainable "best practices."
Professional Development Committee
Determines topics of interest for Membership Programs Also, plans workshops and seminars on issues affecting the industry. Plans, and conducts the professional designation (RPA, SMA, and FMA) programs. Provides local networking and educational opportunities to the healthcare community.
Annual Golf Tournament Task Force
Plans, coordinates and promotes the annual BOMA Golf Tournament.
Government Affairs Committee
Reviews, plans, monitors, and recommends policy on local, state, national, and regulatory issues and legislation which impacts the commercial real estate industry. Also coordinates with BOMA’s lobbyists; review, monitor, promote, and/or testify in support of or in opposition to state or local legislation, amendments or regulations affecting the commercial real estate industry.
Membership Services Committee
Develops and follows-up on prospective members to recruit new BOMA members. Also educates BOMA members on the benefits of retaining BOMA membership. Studies and recommends policies and procedures relating to the building and maintenance of membership.
Trade Show (Allied Showcase) Task Force
Plans, coordinates and promotes the Annual Allied Showcase event. In 2016, the event was a Sporting Clay Tournament.
