RPA / FMA Courses
Budgeting and
Accounting
Budgeting and Accounting features applications and problems you can
use to create building and facilities' budgets. In this course, you will
have the opportunity to apply concepts within the real property and
facilities context. You will follow the accounting process and creation
of a budget from start to finish, learning valuable skills such as how
to interpret financial statements, annual reports, and statements of
cash flows. You will also learn practical skills such as how to compile
lease abstracts and prepare rent rolls. The course includes valuable
exercises pertaining to computing productivity ratios, depreciation,
ending cash balances, preparing income and expense budgets, and
explaining budget variances.

Managing the
Organization
This newly redesigned course will help you become an effective
manager and leader in your organization. Your role will take on new
meaning as you learn and understand the impact that you can have on your
organization and on the individuals who work for you. The course will
reinforce the theory and strategies with a new case study in which
management practices are applied to address industry trends and issues
related to enhancing the value of an asset.

Exams
BOMI
International provides computer-based testing (CBT) through Pearson VUE.
Computer-based testing allows BOMI International to continue to maintain
the high standards of the current examination process while adding
numerous benefits for both candidates and their employers. CBT
demonstrates our commitment to providing stakeholders with the highest
levels of service and security.

CPD Points
The
Continuing
Professional Development (CPD) program requires RPA, FMA, and SMA
graduates to acquire 18 points of continuing education credit every
three years in order to maintain active status of their
designation.
RPA Experience
Requirement
To earn
the Real Property
Administrator (RPA) designation,
candidates are required to demonstrate three years of verifiable
property management experience. This policy ensures that people awarded
the RPA are high-caliber, welltrained professionals—experienced in
real property management. It's called the RPA Experience
Requirement, and it's one of the many reasons
that the RPA carries so much respect in the industry.
To fulfill
the RPA Experience
Requirement, the following
conditions must be met:
The experience
must be related to a minimum property portfolio of 40,000 square
feet.
The experience
must demonstrate that you have met at least 18 of the 25 criteria listed
on the RPA Experience Criteria
Verification Form. Criteria may be obtained through
more than one employer as long as 18 different criteria are
met.
- The experience must be verified by
each employer listed on the application.
