Colorado BOMA PAC

Denver Metro BOMA and Southern Colorado BOMAs' Political Action Committee (PAC) is officially known as the Building Owners and Managers Political Committee. BOMA's PAC covers the state and BOMA Colorado raises funds and supports candidates for state offices.  BOMA Colorado is active in state legislation and it is imperative that BOMA have a voice in who gets elected to represent our industry. Since the creation of the BOMA Colorado PAC, BOMA has contributed to many successful state legislative campaigns.

According to the Colorado Secretary of State, a Political Committee means any person, other than a natural person, or any group of two or more persons, including natural persons that have accepted or made contributions or expenditures in excess of $200 to support or oppose the nomination or election of one or more candidates.  Political Committee does not include political parties, issue committees, or candidate committees.  “Person” means any natural person, partnership, committee, association, corporation, labor organization, political party, or other organization or group of persons.

Political committees may not accept more than $525 per contributor per House of Representatives election cycle (every two years). [Art. XXVIII, Sec. 3(5)]  BOMA is seeking PAC contributions from either individuals, businesses or corporations, not to exceed $525 in a two-year cycle. Please consider making a contribution to BOMA PAC to support the commercial real estate industry and the work BOMA does to protect the industry.  Thank you.

BOMA International PAC

BOMAPAC is BOMA International’s federal political action committee. Whether or not you are politically “active”, there is no better way to support the candidates and the issues that impact your professional and personal lives. Help us to ensure that congressional seats are held by individuals who understand real estate’s issues and challenges and can have a positive impact on your livelihood.

By contributing to BOMAPAC you are strengthening our industry's voice on Capitol Hill.  In supporting the re-election campaigns of our friends on the hill, we show our appreciation for their willingness to learn more about our industry and assist us in moving important legislation forward.  These members of Congress eventually vote on issues impacting your business, and the industry as a whole.

Who can contribute?  BOMA members, with the exception of foreign nationals, are eligible to contribute to BOMAPAC.  However, donations must be personal, not corporate. You may contribute as much or as little as you want, but not exceeding $5,000 ($10,000 for a married couple) in a calendar year.  Under Federal Election Commission (FEC) rules, BOMA International is required to report the name, mailing address, occupation and employer of each individual who contributes.
